2019 Día de los Muertos Fine Art Exhibit

This year’s Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Tointon Gallery show wants you to share your Día de los Muertos themed artwork with us!
Día de los Muertos is a Mexican celebration to remember and honor those that have departed. It is not a day to be confused with Halloween, even though there are skulls and skeletons involved in rituals, the event is not to scare, but to remember one’s ancestors.
All are encouraged to apply!
Open to all artists residing in Weld County. Artwork must have been produced in the last two years and not previously shown in the Tointon Gallery.
In order to allow ample space for each work of art entered, the Tointon Gallery holds the right to accept a certain number of applications. To maintain variety in the overall exhibit we may limit applications for any one medium to 25% of the total number of pieces submitted to the
- Up to 3 pieces may be submitted for jurying.
- The gallery will not collect a commission.
- There is no entry fee.
- All artwork must be delivered on time.
- Work must stay on display until show closes.
- All art will be displayed at the discretion of the Tointon Gallery Visual Arts Committee.
Artwork must be submitted in PDF form and labeled: lastname.firstname.01.pdf, lastname.firstname.02.pdf, etc.
2-D work must be properly framed and ready to hang by a wire.
All 3-D work must be ready for display.
Works will only be insured while they are on the premises and only from October 18 – November 2, 2019. Artwork is not required to be for sale,
but the insurance value is required. Claim reimbursement is subject to verifiable value.
